The final version of WinZip 11.0 standard was released. The new version features a number of major improvements aiming towards keeping it in the top of file compression utilities.

The program has two modes: The classic mode (recommended for experienced users) and the wizard mode (recommended for beginners) to simplify its operation. It is tightly integrated with windows, has 128- and 256-Bit AES Encryption, provides E-mail Support and creates Self-Extracting Archives. WinZip 11.0 can now display image thumbnails in an explorer view. In addition, you don’t have to worry anymore about what compression method fits your file the most because this version supports "best compression". Moreover, if you need to compress your sound files then this release features improved compression for audio (wav) files. Besides all, for all of those who were bothered by WinZip not supporting .RAR files, from now on it supports .RAR and .BZ2 extensions.
